Prado is a 16.2 hh. Bay Rheinlander who came
to Valeria in 2006 from Warendorf, Germany, where he was a Westphalien
approved and licensed State Stud.
Throughout Prado’s early years, he continually proved himself to be more
than impressive, earning exceptionally high scores on both his 30- and
70-day stallion tests. In 2001, Prado won Reserve Champion at the 30-day test
(he placed 2nd in jumping and 2nd in dressage. In total he won
the 30 day test!) and
placed third over some 22 other stallions at the 70-day test. But what
set this promising young stallion apart from all the others was his multi-talentedness.
Prado ranked consistently in all phases of testing, achieving third in
both dressage and jumping as well as for his overall scoring ‑‑ a
remarkable feat for a promising and remarkable young stallion.
And, this, coupled with his ability to produce extraordinary offspring
made Prado one of the most sought-after breeding stallions in that area.
Prado’s grace, beauty, kind heart and phenomenal athletic ability are all
mirrored in his offspring, who have gone on to become jumpers, dressage
competitors and licensed breeding stallions.

"Prado is an outstanding stallion! He has proven his scope and athleticism
while competing as a jumper, yet he possesses the conformation, movement
and jumping style of a classic hunter."
~David D. Pellegrini,

"Prado is an exceptional horse. His classic jumping
style, careful attitude, and competitive instincts are all highly
desirable traits one looks for in a stallion."
