Prado's
Mares & Foals
As of 2006, all of Prado’s offspring had been foaled in Germany.
In May of 2007, Valeria proudly welcomed Prado's first U.S. born foal,
Paladin, out of Ravnaya (HOLS). According to officials at Westphalia,
Prado produced top quality offspring while standing at the Westphalien
State Stud in Warendorf, Germany.
“Prado’s first foals, seen in
Westphalia, occupy top places almost without exception, and receive very
good assessments.”
“[During] the Rhineland
exhibitions, it was also possible to see Prado’s foals, which are
generally distinguished by their type and their sporting appearance.
Some very good foals accordingly took the highest places in the Viersen
[and Mettmann areas]. The majority of foals were presented in the
district of deKleve . . . where some 20 of Prado’s foals gave an
excellent glimpse of their qualities of breeding. . . . [And] . . .
experience tells us that the jumping ability of Prado’s progeny will
surely be put forward . . . . In general, it is possible to speak of
a very pleasing first promotion, with no fewer than four foals able to
be admitted to the elite sales.”
“During the exhibitions, numerous
foals changed owners. The foals are highly prized because of their
excellent line of descent from jumpers. “
